1955 Bowman #32 Wally Post G Cincinnati Redlegs Outfielder
Post was born July 9, 1929 in Wendelin, OH. He debuted with the Reds in 1949. He spent 1950 in AA with Tulsa and was up and down with the Reds the next 3 seasons. By 1954 the power-hitting Post, became a starting fixture in Cincinnati's outfield. Traded to the Philadelphia just before the 1958 season, he was back with the Reds in 1960. He recorded one of the longest home-runs ever hit at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. It was 569 ft. He finished out the 1963 season with the Minnesota Twins. He made his last appearance on May 9, 1964 with the Cleveland Indians. He was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. This card fits into a lower grade set.
