For auction is a lovely vase made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is called "Pinecone" and it is done in their highly collected blue background glaze. This pattern and color is one of Roseville's most desirable to collect. The vase is rather large as it stands 8 1/8" tall and is 7 1/4" wide outside handles measurements. The foot has a diameter of 3 7/8".
The vase has a
very pleasing shape. The background of the vase is
a light cream color that is surrounded by a bright royal blue background that
covers the entire vase including the light cream on the other side. The vase depicts a pair of realistic handles in the form
of a branch. These are attached just under the neck. On each side of the vase is
a brown pine cone nestled between pine needles that protrude out from the bottom
and top. These pine needles extend out from the pine cone. One of the pine cones
sits at the top of one handle on one side and the bottom of the handle on the
opposite side. The inside has a wonderful creamy beige glaze and is extremely
clean inside. The top inside lip is a brown with some blue highlights. Truly a
nice example.
This was Frank
Ferrell's most popular design that he ever created while working at The
Roseville Pottery Company. In fact, the company would have had to close it doors
if it wasn't for the success of this line in the Mid to Late 1930's. The
Pinecone line was considered the most popular line ever made at Roseville
Pottery and that is still evident today. There are 4 colors that Pinecone was
made in and they are Blue, Brown, Green and Pink. Pink Commands the highest
price and is rarely seen. Blue commands the next highest price with Brown and
Green not too far behind.
The vase is
considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips or major
dings. The piece is signed on the bottom with the Incised "Roseville" mark along
with the mold number 844-8". This is a quality piece of art pottery that will
enhance any art pottery collection, especially those of you who collect
Roseville Pinecone in Blue.
This vase was made circa 1935-45.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for.
They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.
If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
Please wait for my Invoice before paying.
You can always purchase with Confidence as Lastminute713 has some of the highest DSR'S "Detailed Seller Ratings" on Ebay.
If you have any questions please email through the Ebay platform or call Clements Antiques of New Hampshire. I will answer most questions usually within a few hours.
I bubble wrap, double box and fully Insure all shipments that are sold. Insurance is Included in the Flat Rate Shipping Charge above. This does not Include International Shipments as each country has different rates.
International purchases must wait for the Invoice so Insurance can be added. There are some Countries I cannot Ship to because the Post Office won't allow Insurance on items shipped there.
