Features
of this Black Titanium and Gold Titanium ballpoint Pen:
You
are bidding on a hand turned Sierra Ballpoint Pen kit that was made from Genuine
Woolly Mammoth Fossil Molar. It is well over 10,000 years old and
was manufactured by nature well before 1900 meeting Ebay Guidelines. I
purchased several Mammoth Fossils many years ago from Siberia and this is only
the second pen that I have completed using it. This pen took me several DAYS to
complete due to the difficulty in turning solid stone on a Woodturning Lathe.
It was easily the most difficult material to turn and shape that I have ever
encountered! The blank was first vacuum resin stabilized which induces the yellow colors. Everything else is the actual fossilized molar. I have nicknamed this
"The Bumble Bee" pen because the colors closely resemble that of a large Bumble Bee. This is a spectacular looking pen and the best
looking and one of the rarest pens I have ever made. This is so difficult to
turn that I will only make a few and is currently the only one for sale on
Ebay! The last two photos are a close-up of the pen that shows the
detail and colors of the Mammoth Tooth that runs throughout this pen.
The
Sierra pen is also remarkably similar in size and weight when compared to the
Nouveau Sceptre pen as well, yet still gives you a brand new and innovative
look. This pen is also a wonderful mid-sized pen and due to its unique design,
it is very light and comfortable to hold. The bottom, or writing end, of the
pen is about ½" in diameter at the thickest, yet only about ¼" in
diameter where your fingers grip the pen to write. The
overall length of the pen is roughly 5 ¼". If you would
like to purchase a gift box, I have several styles that are
listed separately that would be offered at a discount if purchased with a
pen. Please let me know what style you are interested in and I will
send you a quote and information as to which box goes best with each style pen.
You will be shipped the exact pen shown.
I
have been a woodworker for over 20 years, making everything from complete
custom cabinetry, to bowls, boxes, and pens on the lathe. However,
due to health issues, I now only turn projects on the lathe to give myself
something to do for the few hours a day I can stand. When you see pens which
have the same name, or look the exact same, the chances are that they obtain
their kits from the same sources that I use. Since I do not need to "make
a living" at this, I can offer the same product, made with great precision,
and generally offer it to you for a much lower price.
I
have 100% positive feedback and will always ship within 48 hours of payment
using USPS Priority Mail. SHIPPING IS FREE within the United
States. I accept and prefer PayPal for payment. I will allow
returns within the first 30 days of receipt. Just send me an email and I will
issue a return. If you have any questions or need additional photographs,
please do not hesitate to ask.
