A rare cased solid sterling silver horse riding spur. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1913 with the maker being Charles Horner. It has been superbly designed and is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. The strap has died out and is cracking but it may be restorable with saddle soap, if not its easy to replace. The box outer appears to has some varnish on it mainly to its base. It measures approx. 4.75 inches (12cm) ling by almost 2.75 inches inches (6.7cm) wide and weighs 42 grams excluding the case and the strap. A very unusual and interesting piece.
