ome sort of insurance write off. Well, be assured that this one is not. It isn’t a cat S, it isn’t a cat N, it’s not anything. It’s just a straight up normal, never been written off car. Quite rare on eBay.

This is a 2010 Peugeot 5008 exclusive MPV. And boy is it spec heavy. And it could be yours…

I’m selling the car on behalf of a friend of mine (charging beer for the privilege). She bought it a year ago as they needed a second car while she was on maternity cover - she only covered 2k in that time but it served her well. Alas maternity leave is now over and she has no requirement for it any longer. The alternative to eBay was we buy any car, and offering £1,700 - well, the less said the better. Absolutely cowboys.

It’s a seven seater MPV, in beautiful condition both inside and out. There are a couple of extremely minor scratches, but I guarantee you you’ll not find a better condition 14 year old car than this. It’s genuinely superb. It cleans up beautifully.

So, let’s talk about the spec. Here’s a little taster of what’s on offer:

Cruise control.

Automatic gearbox.

Heads up display.

Panoramic roof with retractable sun cover.

Front parking sensors.

Rear parking sensors.

Air con.

Paddle shift gears.

Folding wing mirrors.

Fog lights.

Servicing

Car has 12 of 14 stamps and servicing took place at the following intervals:

1,231

10,010

32,982

40,965

48,870

53,855

58,827

65,079

70,639

73,897

76,701

79,898

In addition, timing belt was last changed at the 48k service and the manual suggests that this requires changing every 140k miles (although my recommendation is that you should probably do it slightly more often than that!).

MOT

The MOT is currently due 31st July 2024, however there will be a fresh 12 month MOT put on it prior to sale.

This is genuinely a lovely car. It’s quite evidently been looked after very well and it’s a pleasure to drive. No knocks, no grumbles, smooth auto gearbox that changes exactly how you’d expect it to. Genuinely, if you took the number plate off this, you’d struggle to believe its age.

Car is collection from Bromsgrove, near to J4 M5, and even nearer to J1 M42.

No hidden gremlins here, just a chance to buy a car packed full of spec for a really good price (and ideally more than we buy any cowboy would pay!).

Because I’m going to start the auction at 99p with no reserve, a few of you will be like flies round s*** with “what’s your best price?”, “will you take £126?” And all sorts of nonsense. If you wish to make an offer, please go do some research into comparable cars on autotrader. You’ll see they’re at £4-5k. So please bear that in mind before offering little more than will buy my Friday night takeaway.

Test drives welcomed and encouraged. Although this advert is wholly truthful, you’re best off seeing the car with your own eyes.

Happy bidding, any questions please ask.

A really good car, at a really good price

Right, I’ve uploaded a receipt showing the front pads and discs have been done as well as rear pads. It appears the change of the front pads and discs has caused the car to think it has a puncture in the front left tyre. I can categorically tell you that it doesn’t have a puncture because over the last 48 hours I’ve wasted £3 at the local garage on the tyre pressure inflation machine only to be told each and every time that the pressure in the tyre is 36psi. (I’ve also checked for foreign objects and there are none). The problem will have been caused by a faulty TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring sensor) which I’ve had a price of £60 to replace. Regrettably owing to it being the weekend, I’m not going to be able to get this done before the end of the auction, so please factor this into the price you want to bid. For clarification, everything else works exactly as it should, the car just thinks it has a puncture (it doesn’t).

There are a few other toys that so far I’ve neglected to mention… there are little tables that fold down off the back of the seats for rear passengers, and the cruise control appears to have what I think is an early version of adaptive cruise control, where the car tells you on heads up display how far in seconds you are away from the vehicle in front. Pretty clever. I forget whether I mentioned it had paddle shift beats, but this is a cracking car and will make someone a fantastic family car.

Oh and I really should have written it on the subtitle, but the vehicle is not far from ticking over onto 82,000 miles, currently sits at about 81,800 plenty of life left in her yet.

My brother has just pointed out to me that there’s a sentence missing off the start of my description… I wrote the description in notes on my phone and didn’t manage to copy and paste it over correctly. The part that you didn’t see should read “It seems that more or less every car you see listed on eBay nowadays is some sort of insurance write off…” just for clarification, this car is HPI clear. It is not any sort of insurance write off. It is perfectly clean and tidy and has never been written off in any way. Hope this clarifies things.
