1952 Topps #97 Earl Torgeson VG Boston Braves 1st Baseman.
Torgeson had a 15 year playing career in the Majors with 5 different teams. Starting in 1947 with the Braves, he played his first 6 years with them. The next 3 seasons he spent with the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1955, he became an American Leaguer after being traded to the Detroit Tigers. In 1957 he moved on to the Chicago White Sox where he helped them win the 1959 pennant. He finished his career with the 1961 World Champion New York Yankees. This card fits into a mid-grade set. There is a short wrinkle under the bat. The card has moderate corner and edge wear. Centering is decent and the card still has some original gloss. See Pictures. The Beckett Guide lists the value between $25.00 and $60.00. Low starting bid. The card pictured is the card you'll receive. I do combine shipping at $1.00 per additional card won. Please wait for the invoice I send so that the shipping discount can be applied.
