For auction is a lovely piece of art glass made by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning, New York. The item is a salt shape but the Steuben site also calls this a Bonbon shaped bowl. The bowl is done in Steuben's Gold Aurene style of art glass. This bowl measures 6" in diameter and is 1 11/16" in height.

This bowl displays a low form with raised and ruffled edges. It depicts a brilliant Gold Aurene iridescence on both the face and underside. The Gold Aurene is simply beautiful. You can see vivid hues of fuchsia and looking into the center it appears "On Fire". The top edge of the bowl has a very nice onion skin textured border. These are some of the most desirable features that attract the Steuben Gold Aurene collectors.

The bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings anywhere. The bowl also has a recessed polished pontil. This is the finishing sign of a quality piece of art glass. The bowl is signed on the underside with the Steuben etched signature "Aurene" just outside the pontil and the shape number "138" on the opposite side. As an added bonus it stills retains a good portion of its original triangular label.

Steuben Aurene glass is some of he highest quality glass you can own. At the turn of the century LCT Tiffany Studio's Favrile line was their main competitor and their fared equally as well, creating some of the nicest art glass vases the world has ever seen. This piece was made in Steuben's earlier production as it was made circa 1902-1915.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for.

They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.

If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
