The MIJ EVH Signature Wolfgang is crafted with outstanding Japanese craftsmanship, with the exact specifications for Eddie Van Halen's touring gear and the versatile sound you expect from an EVH-named guitar. A special model.
The basswood body features a big leaf maple arched top with 5-ply binding, and the bolt-on quarter-sawn maple neck is built to Eddie's exact specifications. The neck grip is also finished with the same grip as the USA version. Built-in graphite reinforcement rods minimize the effects of temperature and humidity.
The neck back is hand-finished with a satin urethane finish to support smooth, high-speed play. The heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel also allows for easy neck adjustment.
The 12- to 16-inch compound-radius ebony fingerboard features 22 vintage stainless steel jumbo frets and is designed to comfortably perform everything from chording to soloing to bending. It is maintenance free as it does not rust or dull, and its high hardness reduces fret wear. The body and neck joints are heel-cut, so you won't feel stressed when playing in a high position.

Two Custom Wound EVH Wolfgang humbuckers can be switched with a reverse-style 3-way toggle switch. Achieve perfect balance and dynamic attack. The bridge pickup has crisp punch, clarity, and sweet sustain, making it ideal for light rhythm play. The neck pickup features a creamy tone and rich sustain, and the clean tone when the volume is turned down is excellent.
EVH BI Tech HPU low friction volume knob allows for smooth volume playing. Silver Mica's high-pass capacitor produces a clear, overtone-rich crunch tone when the volume is turned down, which is perfect for distortion amplifiers. EVH Bourns high-friction tone knobs prevent unexpected tone malfunctions due to mistouching. Additionally, the kill switch located on the 1st string side allows for rhythmic switching techniques.
The top-mounted EVH brand Floyd Rose Tremolo maintains tune even with bold arming. The 6th string is equipped with the patented EVH D-Tuna that instantly and reliably switches to drop D tuning.
The MIJ EVH Signature Wolfgang(R) is available in an Ivory or Stealth Black finish with cream body binding, black control knobs, chrome Eye Hook strap buttons, and a black headstock. Stealth Black models feature pearloid dot inlays, chrome nuts, black retainer bars, and black tuning pegs.
