You are bidding on a vintage, Parker 61 Capillary Fill Fountain pen along with a matching Parker 61 Ballpoint Pen in red with Duo-Tone Rainbow Caps. Introduced in 1956, the model 61s were available through 1983. These two pens are believed to date to the sixties - seventies. The model 61 uses a unique, capillary filling system with no moving parts. The nib appears to be a medium and still has a good tip although I did not test it with ink. See the closeup photos of the nib above. The barrels of both pens are in good condition. The fountain pen's Duo-Tone Rainbow, 1/10th, 14kt, rolled gold cap is in decent condition with the usual fine scratches. The ballpoint pen's Rainbow Cap is marked 1/10th, 14kt, gold filled. The Parker arrow logo and '61' imprint on the caps are a bit faint. Could not get good photos. Jewel caps and endcap jewel are good. Fountain pen cap is stamped, 'Made in England'. Ballpoint pen cap is stamped, 'Made in USA'. The pocket clip on the ballpoint pen needs to be pressed down against the cap just a bit (see photo 17). Fountain pen measures 5- and 1/2-inches in length capped. The ballpoint measures right at 5 inches. Please examine all pictures and send a message if you have a question.
