1950 Bowman #18 Eddie Robinson VG ROOKIE Washington Senators 1st Baseman. Born on December 15, 1920 in Paris, TX. Robinson debuted with the Cleveland Indians in 1942. His baseball career was interrupted by WWII. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1945. He returned to the Indians for the 1946 season. During his 13 year playing career (1942 - 1957), he was on the roster of 7 of the 8 American League teams. He was a 4X American League All Star. This card fits into a mid-grade set. Nicely centered, the card has some original gloss. There is a short vertical crease to the right of his belt. There is a small pinch along the right border.
