Le Train Bleu Buffet de la Gare Paris Lyon

A rare collectable the 1950’s opaline ashtray/change caddy from the Le Train Bleuwhen it was still called a buffet and not a restaurant.

Located in the Gare de Lyon train station in Paris, it has one of the most sumptuous Art Nouveau interiors ever created. Opening for the World Fair of 1900, its name is synonymous with the very elegant Blue Train that traveled from Paris to the Mediterranean in the 1920’s – 1930’s.

The opaline ashtray is in perfect condition – no chips, no cracks and no fissures. The Blue Train appliqué decoration is intact, old telephone number Diderot 0906, along with the title Buffet
