The building of the monastery and church is one of the important landmarks of Podolínec. On November 8, 1642, Stanislav Ľubomírsky issued the charter for the Piarist monastery in Podolínec. On November 21, P. Conti celebrated the mass of St. Stanislav, in whose honor the church was to be built in Kláštor. On December 10, a mass was held with the participation of Stanislav Lubonírske. The mass was celebrated by the administrator of the order P. Franchi. Subsequently, Kraków canon Krištof Sapelius consecrated the foundation stone on the site of the future church, built a wooden cross and preached.
