Standard kitchen base units are likely to have a depth of 61cm but may be available in widths from 150mm up to 1000mm. Base units typically form kitchen cupboards that have one door, while wider units may come with two doors. If you want an alternative to kitchen cabinet doors, some base units are available with drawers instead.

Kitchen wall units are usually 72cm tall and, like base units are available in a range of widths. This means that when you purchase a kitchen wall unit you often have the choice between one or two doors. Depending on the kitchen range, wall units can have a depth of 30cm or 60cm.
