A good condition hardcover copy of 'The Oracle: Recipts Rare, Rich and Reliable' cookbook from 1894 compiled by The Woman's Parish Aid Society of Christ Church of Tarrytown, New York. This is a very rare book, with no real information about it online. The book measures 7.5" x 5" and has a total of 122 pages, plus the ads in the back. The outside of the book has some bump wear to the top and bottom of the spine, as well as some bending to the corners from bumping. There is also a little rub war along the edges and to the corners. There is some foxing to the greenish grey part of the outside, and some foxing along the upper outer edge. Inside the original owners name is written on the front free endpaper with date, but otherwise there is no other writing or markings to any of the pages. There are also no folds to any of the pages. A handful of pages have some very minor foxing, and the pages do have some waviness near the binding, likely from prolonged exposure to the Arizona heat. A very nice condition copy for the age, with no major wear or tear. Shipped via USPS Media Mail.
