This is a lovely copy in a gilt embossed and decorated dark blue cloth hardcover binding. The book is embellished with twenty-six pages of illustrations, some of which are two pictures to a page, showing early hotels, lodges, and other buildings from the history of this historic scenic area. This is a very nice collectable quality copy that will make a fine addition to anyone's collection of New Hampshire history or trail hiking history. I find reprints of this book starting at fifteen dollars, but First Edition copies are all priced at least twenty-five dollars plus shipping.--
