Japanese Kokeshi Wood Figurine

This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi figurine represents a girl. The figurine's body has a wood spool shape, or maybe a Japanese taiko drum shape. It is painted with gold, pink, blue, red, and silver horizontal lines and embellished with leaf patterns.
