Using a light source that replicates the natural UV portion of sunlight has proven benefits for birds' health, allowing them to visually perceive their surroundings more naturally, normalizing behavior and often leading to greater breeding success.
Unlike normal fluorescent tubes, the Arcadia bird lamp contains special phosphorus that emits UV light. This allows it to replicate the light spectrum of the sun, including 12% UV-A and 2.4% UV-B.
