Bucilla's Authentic Motorcycle "Cruising Santa" Discontinued Felt Christmas Stocking Kit-18" First Edition Bucilla Original Not a Plaid Reproduction, Second or Knockoff.

  "Cruising Santa" is the perfect stocking for the motorcycle lover in your life produced by Bucilla.  It is a unique design and extremely unusual when completed. This is the original kit with the high quality felt and true colors that will not bleed when wet.  The sequins will not peel off and there are sufficient supplies.  In the other kit that was reproduced, all of the the crystal beads do not have holes in them or even big enough to thread with the tiny beading needle.  This is not a second either which sells much cheaper than the Plaid reproductions.

This is a factory sealed kit that was shipped directly to me from the manufacturer.  It comes from a smoke-free, pet-free environment and climate-controlled environment.  This stocking was designed by Maria Stanziani, one of Bucilla's top designers, who is no longer with them.  When completed, this stocking is 18 inches in diagonal length. Since it is an original, it contains thicker stamped felts, cotton floss, color separated sequins and beads, 2 needles, tri-lingual instructions and directions for personalization.   

The reproductions, seconds and knockoffs are not the same quality of components.  It was produced in the USA and not outsourced.  This kit has the better sequins, beads, stamped felts, etc. and was products. These sequins will not flake or peel.  All colors are true to the design.  The stamped felt will not tear or wear like the thinner felts.  The felts in this kit can be washed without bleeding. Cleaning and storing instructions are much easier to follow, step by step, unlike the instructions provided in the new Plaid kit. "Do not" try to wet or wash the reproductions or knockoffs because your colors will run and you may ruin your stocking.

This kit is factory direct from the Bucilla and still factory sealed   It is the authentic "Cruising Santa" that was produced by Bucilla before selling out to Plaid who outsources the older, popular kits, as well as making all the new kits for the past few years.  The reproductions, seconds and knockoffs are not the same quality and, on many occasions, do not have sufficient sequins, beads, floss or other items to complete you item.  The original kits, which were produced in the U.S., are more expensive but when you put the time and work into your heirloom, is it worth saving the extra money?  I have kits that I made many years ago and they are still in great condition.  I am concerned that the life span of the kits made in the last few years, since the outsourcing, that the stockings will not last as long as the originals or the older kits.  Some times the instructions can be quite overwhelming on the new kits.  On the older kits they walked you through and even showed where to put your stuffing.  They had individual pictures for each step which is great if you are a beginner.

The older kits have"care instructions" that explain the washing and care for the finished stocking.  The instructions are clear and easy to us.

I understand that price controls the decision on a lot of things, but remember you get what you pay for. You put the same amount of work into both.  Be careful when stuffing the felt in the cheaper kits, to give it the 3-D effect, and don't stuff as full as the original because your felt may tear.

I ship all orders with insurance and delivery confirmation.  All items are mailed within 24 hours of cleared payment except for weekends and holidays.

  • I wrap all of my kits in white tissue and label them so that there is no chance of the kit opening during transit and losing a bead or sequin. It preserves the cleanliness of the kit as well. All of my kits are from a clean, smoke-free, pet-free environment except for the vintage kits. I do take extra precaution on all vintage kits or opened to maintain they are germ-free.
  • Since vintage kits go through so many hands, it is for this reason that my kits cost a little more because they are completely sterilized using the procedure that is used in a surgical procedure. I don't just wipe down the outside of a package with a germicide. I sterilize completely throughout the kit.
  • There is a grommet hole, a hole which is used for displaying the kit, ornament, etc., germs and bacteria can go through the grommet hole on any kit. It is worth it to make sure your kit is germ-free. I will never sell you an incomplete or dirty kit. If I receive a kit that has a torn, dirty or in an extremely worn plastic package, I will replace it with a new bag and professionally heat seal it.

Since eBay now charges sellers shipping fees as well as final value fees on completed transactions, I cannot refund any shipping fees that I have to pay.
