This is a beautiful hand-painted vintage wooden book cover featuring a rustic scene of pheasant at a moss-covered rocky moorland outcrop. It is wonderfully detailed and is signed C Beresford Hopkins - Charles Beresford Hopkins, born in the late 19th century. His ceramic art pieces go for big money at the big auction houses but his treen pieces - rustic scenes painted on wood - are relatively cheap.
This fine example would be perfect as a photo album or stamp album etc.
It is such a nice painting that it would look fab as a work of art on the wall.
