Stunning handmade, lavender pillow featuring a gorgeous, quirky little hen from Sophie Allport designs on a heart shaped, feature appliqued panel.

 This cotton panel features a scalloped edge and is appliqued in heart stitching in taupe onto a  gorgeous, vintage roses floral linen in pinks and greens on cream background (plain cream cotton is used for the back of the pillow)

 The scalloped edges are stitched in taupe cotton to add extra detailing and enhance the country/shabby chic feel.

The pillow is filled with fibre filling and a generous amount of home-grown, dried organic English lavender, harvested from my cottage garden in Norfolk last summer.  Just squeeze gently to reactivate the wonderful, natural lavender oils and aromas.

The back of the pillow has been left without embellishment, so that you may sleep on it, should you wish to.  Lavender is known for its relaxing properties and can aid sleep/rest.

This is a complete pillow with a non-removable cover and is truly unique.

Would make a fabulous addition to your bed pillow or a pretty little chair ~ or can, of course, be used to scent drawers/wardrobe and is a great gift idea for someone you love.
