This is a 1971/early 1972 pressing of Genesis' Nursery Cryme LP on the pink scroll Charisma label with the 'HILTOP' inscription on side 1 under the matrix number.

Overall I'd grade this as hovering around VG:

The sleeve shows signs of wear on all edges and there is a sticker removal tear on the top right-hand corner on the front, but no other rips or splits and it is otherwise still in one piece.

The record has had a deep clean (using Winyl peel-off gel), but it does have various scratches, some of which are clearly audible and cause crackle especially in the quieter passages, but in louder parts the record still plays loud, clear and sounds powerful (the video here will give you a fair idea of both) . There are one or two other scratches which are more cosmetic (see photos), more like superficial non-feelable scuffs which themselves don't affect play, such as in photos 10 and 21 here. Sadly certain quieter tracks show up crackle more, such as Harlequin, and in parts of The Fountain of Salmacis, there appears to be a bit of background groove distortion here and there, but from testing it on my turntable, both sides still play through without sticking or skipping, and for the most part on the louder sections it plays great. So, given that some parts play better than others, I have averaged the condition out to being VG (plays VG- in some parts and at least VG+ in others).

So in short, if you're looking for a close to mint-sounding copy, this isn't the one for you, but it *is* considerably better than just a collection-filler, so if you are happy to get an okay-ish copy of a rare issue of this LP, then this might do you until you find a better copy. Pink scroll originals are sought-after these days, so its collectability is reflected in the starting price.
