The Celestron Nextar 5" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope is a reflector type with an altazimuth mount. It has a maximum magnification of more than 100x and features a mounted, motorized system with a lens cover. The telescope is made by Celestron and comes with a hard case. It is listed as used but in near-pristine condition. This Alt-Az, computer controlled Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope was my first SCT, and has been used VERY gently, and ALWAYS stored in it's factory hard case and in an environmentally controlled area. It has a built in data base of 18,000 objects and performs flawlessly with Go-To and tour capability. Factory tripod is included. I had to replace one of the lock bolts on the tripod with a suitable bolt from a hardware store years ago, but it locks down fine. I also cannot find the triangular tray that mounts between the legs for holding eyepieces. IF it surfaces, I will gladly send it along to the winner, but they are readily available on the aftermarket for $15. The OTA is in perfect shape, with no scratches. The telescope has always been handled with kidd gloves, and has taken friends and family on many a tour of the night sky,...especially the moon and planets. This package is as complete a turn key setup as you'll find anywhere for a wonderful 5" SCT. Tracks and performs flawlessly. Collimation is perfect. Simple to use and has taken my kids on many a sky tour, GREAT way to cultivate a lifelong interest !  Hard to find a turnkey package that includes the factory,  hard case, with all accessories and custom cutouts in foam liner.
