1971 Volkswagen Type 3 Fastback 

A very original, solid and usable type 3 fastback. A pleasure to drive!

Car has been very well cared for over the years by myself and the 3 previous owners. It has original body and paint work (apart from a front wing) which for 53 years old is in great condition. A set of clear front indicators have been added to the car (originals included in sale) along with a set of 914 style alloy wheels and tyres.

The interior has the original basket weave seats which do have some tears but are still very usable. New covers are relatively cheap and easy to come by. The headliner and dash board are all fully original and are in great condition. New floor carpets have been fitted and a new retro style Bluetooth stereo and speakers have been professionally installed along with 12v power supply. 

The car starts very well hot and cold and over the course of my ownership has never let me down. The engine is the original 1600 twin carb pancake that came with the car and still pulls well with 64k miles on the clock. A 914 style rear exhaust has been fitted which I believe finishes the rear of the car off but the may not be to everyone’s taste so the original is also included.

Underneath the car is very solid, both front wheel bearings have been replaced and new spax shocks fitted.

Being 53 years old it does have a few marks on the paint and some small rust patches appearing on the rear louvres despite that it’s a fantastic car and turns heads, also won top 5 at Volksweald 23 

Everything on the car works as it should, heater, lights, wipers and washer all working perfectly.

The car is based in Kent and viewing is welcomed.
