Leitz Leica Summilux 50mm type 2 SOOME 11114 1961.

The rarer 51.3mm focal length as shown by the 'secret' engraving '13' shown. It came in 3 lengths. This the shortest.

Clearly pre-asph and diehards claim better for it. Certainly very different.

An early example from the very first batch of this new optical formula. One of THE staple Leitz classics. Very good cosmetically. Fresh very unblemished chrome. Beautiful clear glass with very few evident marks in its vast clear expanse. Fabulous aperture. Lovely action.

A simply superb very special example of a legendary lens. Come and see it in person in NW London.
