Japanese Meiji Ginger Jar, signed, blues, porcelain cloisonne totai shippo

A really lovely unusual piece of cloisonne on porcelain. This form of cloisonne was made for a very short period at the end of the Meiji. It is incredibly fragile and production was ended when it proved to difficult to make. It has blemishes that could be original firing faults. It still makes for a good piece to display.

The rough measurements are about 15 cms high, and about 11 cms diameter at the widest.
