TRIANG SPACEX / GOLDEN ASTRONAUTS COLLECTION OF 4 FIGURES VINTAGE 1969

SpaceX - but not as you know it now. Also released as the ‘Golden Astronaut’ series. Each model came with a different plastic golden astronaut figure.

According to Triang these were “Models of authentic designs created by scientists in man's quest to reach the moon and beyond - SPACEXplorers!”

Yes - 1969’s view of the future.

You’d have to know to know these are Triang. The early ones simply say “MADE IN HONG KONG” and they don’t appear in any customer catalogues. They are mainly plastic with metal axles and some have some metal weighting (to stop them floating away in zero gravity).

The range had 4 different categories of vehicle: Earth Base; Space Station; Moon Base: Outer Space Travel

This a collection of 4 loose golden astronauts

2 are LP designs with LP trademarks and “Made in Hong Kong”, 1 is a MPC design copied for SpaceX and 1 is derived from another series of larger-sized figures sold by multiple toymakers (that one also appears to be missing a hand and the ring it was holding).
