Japanese Meiji period porcelain cloisonne totai shippo round lidded pot - flower and butterfly designs

This is a very rare and unusual piece of totai shippo porcelain cloisonne. I have possessed it for many years and enjoyed it. Now that I am trying to thin out my collection, I have studied it again in detail. There are small faults which I don't know I ever noticed before. The cloisons all seem fine. The filling - glaze? enamel? has tiny areas of loss in the backgrounds. There is a small chip in the rim on the inside of the base. There is also a strange thing inside the lid, which could be a firing fault, but it could also be an identifyer by the maker. I've peered at it long, and it looks more intentional than not, but I could be mistaken. Taken as a whole it is a very satisfying interesting pot. It is a similar shape to a seal ink pot I possess - though I imagine that it was designed as a decorative piece.

The rough measurements are about 12 cms diameter, and about 8cms high.
