GENUINE YALE 88 GRAPHITE GREY NIGHT-LATCH CASE - NEW OLD STOCK.

This Yale 88 nightlatch has a dark metallic case and strikeplate and will provide standard security for both exterior and interior doors. The Yale 88 features a snib function that can deadlock or hold back the latch-bolt so rendering the lock inoperable by key or handle.

The Yale 88 nightlatch features an easily reversible latchbolt, and reverse strike plates are available to suit outward opening doors. The Yale 88 nightlatch should be used with a mortice deadlock when securing an external door. The case is 92mm long by 66mm wide, the keep is 25mm by 66mm.

This Yale 88 nightlatch is supplied with a dark metallic grey case and strike-plate, fittings and screws.

This retails at well over £30. I suspect that new ones are made in China or suchlike. Do not confuse with the cheap copies that are seen.

IN EXCELLENT UNUSED CONDITION.

Some storage wear / aging to box. Inside as new. There are a couple of small scuffs to the finish that will require touching up with paint if desired.

This is one of several that my father had stored away for later use (was a carpenter / joiner who kept a stock of items he rated and fitted regulary). Note that new ones have a different style of handle fitted which to me are less secure (easier to pull down while this older style requites you to grip and turn).


This is over 30 years old, and was Made in England (when we made quality items).

I have sold Yale locks and Night-Latches via ebay with no issues.
