Amazing Grandma's Flower Garden Patchwork Quilt with scalloped edges - Hand Pieced and Quilted 1940s. Appraised in 2012 at $650.00 by AQS Certified Jeananne Wright.Beautiful work! Fabrics: cotton solids and prints, florals, polka dots and geometrics with cotton batting. Hand pieced and hand quilted. Heavy amount of quilting; outline quilted in each hexagon. The backing is a yellow solid cotton with just a couple of spots of discoloration, as noted in photos.

This is a hexagon quilt made of 1.5" hexagons. Many are fussy cut; all have a yellow center followed by a circle of plain hexagons and then a circle of patterned fabrics. Each "garden" is separated by white hexagons. There are a total of 116 "garden" with 19 hexagons in each one. The edge of the quilt follows the design of the hexagon flower gardens. Appraisal certificate not included due to previous owner's personal information included in the official document.
