Artist statement.

Glass Blowing on Cape Cod.

I grew up in Sapporo, Japan. I started blowing glass at a small glass factory in my hometown when I was 18 years old, and studied glass techniques at Toyama City Institute of Glass Art, graduating in 1998. Prior to that I attended the Sapporo School of the Arts in Sapporo, Japan. Before I moved to the United States, I worked in Japan and Sweden. I have shown my work internationally. I work each piece individually using distinctive technique for recycling the glass from the glass artists I work for.
