Arc the Lad

Arc the Lad begins a three-part journey through a magical world on the edge of destruction and populated by a unique cast of role-playing characters, each with specific weapons, attributes, and agendas. Characters are defined through more than a dozen changing elements including range, hit points, magic points, attack and defense levels, magic capacity, agility, experience, jump and throw abilities, counterattack prowess, and the ability to catch thrown items.

Action is controlled through three main areas: Events, Maps, and Battles. Characters can encounter seven different conditions during battle that affect their status, including poison, paralysis, sleep, darkness, silence, and stone, or can lose abilities and strength if they become "Hemo-ji." Battles are fought in enclosed environments, but each controlled character can move freely within the grid-based landscape, employing melee or ranged weapons.

Featured individuals in Arc the Lad include Arc, a well-balanced fighter searching for his father, Kukuru, protector of the sacred flame, and Poco, a marching band member whose instruments play an important part in protecting party members during battle. Tosh, an Elite Guard defying orders by defending the innocent victims of Palencia, Gogen, one of the seven original heroes with an arsenal of mystical powers and spells, and Iga, a monk and master of Kenpo sworn to protect the secret scrolls of the Amaidar Temple, complete the roster. Unexpected help comes from Chongara, a merchant adventurer with access to special attacks and summoning abilities.

Other features include multiple save slots on the PlayStation memory card, access to Chongara's Monster Book with information about statistics, abilities, losses, wins, and items carried, and game options for message speed, dual-shock controller vibration, battle voices, sound, and help.

Shaman King

Shaman King was a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. Shaman King follows the adventures of Yoh Asakura as he attempts to hone his shaman skills to become the Shaman King in the Shaman tournament.

Shaman King was serialized in the Japanese manga anthology Weekly Shonen Jump between 1998 and 2004 and has been collected in thirty-two tankobon volumes. Since its publication, Shaman King has spawned a substantial media franchise. The manga has been adapted into an animated television series produced by Xebec and co-produced by TV Tokyo. The series has also spawned numerous video games and a trading card game.

Viz Media licensed the manga for English-language publication in the United States and Canada and has released twenty-seven volumes as of March 2010. 4Kids Entertainment obtained the rights to the Shaman King anime where it premiered on 4Kids network Foxbox on August 30, 2003.A fighting game based on the popular anime and manga series, featuring characters from the series (only four at first, but many of the series' characters show up in unlockable modes) and a system for harnessing your Shamen Souls to help while in battle.

Manta Oyamada, a shrimpy, studious middle-school student from Tokyo, attempts a shortcut one night through the graveyard to get home after a late night of cram school. While travelling through it, he encounters Yoh Asakura and his "companions": a graveyard filled with ghosts. Yoh reveals himself to be a shaman, a medium between the world of the living and the world of the dead. Yoh also demonstrates Shamans' ability to unite with ghosts to achieve a shared goal. Over the first few chapters, Yoh and Manta become best friends while Yoh uses his shamanic abilities to help them out through various normal tasks.

The Shaman Fight is a battle held once every 500 years between competing shamans to choose a winner who will become the highly sought-after "Shaman King", one who is able to contact the Great Spirit (the spirit that every soul will eventually go back to). The winner gains the ability to reshape the world in any way they want. Anna Kyoyama, Yoh's fiancée, soon enters the picture and prescribes a brutal training regimen, in order to prepare Yoh for the tournament. Thus begins the plot that will lead Yoh on a journey that will lead him to befriend Ryu, Tao Ren, Horohoro, Faust VIII, Lyserg Diethel, and Joco.

Shaman King: Spirit of Shamans is the first PlayStation game released within the popular Shaman King anime series. This time however, the game developmental team Dimps would take lead of the production. However, Shaman King: Spirit of Shamans was only released in Japan on June, 6th 2002. One of the last PlaySation games ever released, it was never available in a the Best version, making it very hard to find, especially a sealed copy.

Shaman King: Spirit of Shamans is based on the anime, in which you will complete the first half of the overall story featured within the anime/manga series. This is the first fighting game featured within the series. The graphics seem to reflect other styles seen within the original Gundam Battle Assault, in which you will be playing right-to-left with advanced sprite graphics.

Your spirit can also be regularly used within this fighter as to assist you. At random times in battle, the icon of your specific spirit will flash, in which if you press either O or X fast enough, your overall spirit meter will rise. When risen to the highest extent, you can unleash your ultimate. Within this game, three different buttons vary from a weak attack, or a more stronger attack. The combo system seems to range up to the max of 10 in battle

GAME MODES:
Story mode, Vs mode, and Arcade mode are the three playable modes within this game. In Story mode, you will experience various cutscenes and additional minigames. Arcade mode seems to be the same except for the fact that you will be continuously battling. Of course within Vs mode, you can battle against a friend or a com. Overall within this game, 17 characters are playable (3 of which being different versions of Yoh). It is known that Hao can also be playable, but a Gameshark code is needed

Monster Farm 2 (Monster Rancher 2)

The first Monster Rancher was a cult hit among players of all ages. Monster Rancher 2, released two years later, retains the basic premise of the original while adding several new features and more advanced graphics.

Like its predecessor, Monster Rancher 2 is a game of breeding, training and fighting. A monster is "born" by inserting a CD (audio, CD-ROM or even another PlayStation game) into the console at the requested time. The game reads a portion of data from the CD and creates a unique monster. 408 different monsters are possible, as compared to 193 in the original. Monsters from the original game can also be imported.

Once your monster is created, it is up to you to train it properly. Over the course of your monster's life, it will behave much like a real animal -- growing, getting hungry, becoming tired, disobeying you, etc. Sadly, your monster will even eventually die.

Six different characteristics determine the strength and quality of your monster: Life (Lif), Power (Pow), Defense (Def), Skill (Ski), Speed (Spd) and Intelligence (Int). These six characteristics are improved by putting your monster through a series of drills and errantries. Drills are free and take one week of time. Errantries cost money and take one month. The advantage of errantries is that your monster can learn new battle techniques and gain experience more quickly. In addition to training, you must also periodically give your monster time to rest.

Money, fame and status are earned through battles, which are held periodically throughout the year. There are six ranks of battles (E, D, C, B, A, S, from lowest to highest), and once you win the official tournament of a specific level, you move up to the next highest rank.

The ultimate goal of is to reach the status of "master trainer," achieved by winning the four major tournaments at the S rank.

Monster Rancher 2's new features include faster and less frequent load times, more than twice as many monsters, new training options, additional battle types and entirely 3-D graphics.

Aruze Kingdom 2 (Pachi-Slot Aruze Oukoku 2)

A slot machine (American English), fruit machine (British English), poker machine (Australian English) or simply slot (American English) is a casino gambling machine with three or more reels which spin when a button is pushed. Slot machines are also known as one-armed bandits because slot machines were originally operated by a lever on the side of the machine (the one arm) instead of a button on the front panel, and because of their ability to leave the gamer penniless. Many modern machines still have a legacy lever in addition to the button.

Slot machines include a currency detector that validates the coin or money inserted to play. The machine pays off based on patterns of symbols visible on the front of the machine when it stops. Modern computer technology has resulted in many variations on the slot machine concept. Slot machines are the most popular gambling method in casinos and constitute about 70 percent of the average casino's income. It is estimated that thirty percent or more of the profits from gambling machines come from problem gamblers.

Pachi-Slot Aruze Oukoku 2 is a pachi-slot (gambling machine) game that features 5 different gambling machines (Hanami, Ward of Lights, Azteca, Biomessiah & B-Max) and different levels of zoom.
