Up for bids is a Antique A.C. Fairbanks Boston Bowlback Regent Mandolin. I am by no means an expert on these instruments. I have done some research and believe this was produced in 1904 due to the serial # of 22447. I have seen charts which list this as one of the last few produced before the Fairbanks fire at the factory . Production numbers that year were the lowest of the Fairbanks era.The company from what I understand  was sold and took on the Vega name. Again this information is from what I have read. If you have any different information please let me know. As for the instrument itself it is completely intact with all strings and can be played. It is in exceptional condition for its age. The design on the front is nice and may appear to have a point missing ,but it is just where the designs color hit that area. There is some wear areas and minor scuffing ,but nothing major. It does not have any real damage and does not appear to have been repaired. This instrument looks to be completely original down to the screws. There is some wear to the corners near to metal tag and serial #. I counted 21 ribs on the bowl back. The inside paper sticker is in good condition. It will be hard to find too many of these in this condition. Shipping will be $ 45.00 due to the packing it will take to ship this safely. I will ship international ,but only through the eBay shipping program
