An unusual hinged matchbook holder with crest to one side (Dieu avec nous / God with us) and an engraving of a Rose, Thistle and Clover to the other.
Originally silver plated, much of the plating has worn away revealing the brass base layer below - giving a wonderful aged appearance, The hinge is working as it should
