OLD round sterling silver Navajo shallow dish with a cut-out THUNDERBIRD head handle. This fabulous silver tray has arrow, arrowhead, and geometric shaped stamped designs. Some of the designs form the thunderbird’s wings and body. These early silver trays are VERY popular and collectible, especially those with the mythical thunderbird iconography!

Excellent quality and condition, with a nice darkened patina. Unsigned, as is typical of jewelry of this era – ca. 1940’s. I have seen similar trays that bore the hallmark Austin Wilson or Ike Wilson, but this tray has no marks. Reasonable starting price for this collector’s item.
