This antique handled vase was mounted using sterling silver in an Art Nouveau design by Shreve & Co of San Francisco. We are unable to determine origin of the vase itself, though Shreve & Co was known for using ceramics from all over the world including Japan, China, and England. It is clearly marked on the mouth "SHREVE & CO STERLING" and measures 7 1/4 inches at the widest point by 5 7/8 inches tall. The base is hand signed "PEG RAY MARTINEZ", that signature most likely belongs to the former owners not the maker. 

There are condition issues. Some of the sterling silver is missing and there are a handful of surface scratches / fleabites to the glaze.

Otherwise a lovely piece that will make a perfect addition to a collection of any caliber!
