Unusual form of Caucasian rug, which is more densly knotted than most Karabaghs.

A colourful Karabagh rug, the indigo mehrab with a central cross medalion filled and surrounded by stylised flowers and birds, the ivory double-sided cryptic niche similarly ornamented but with 2 hands and the date AH 1281 - AD 1864.

Overall, the rug is in great condition.

All surrounded by 1 stylised floral border, 1 inner and 2 outer guard stripes.
