This LHD car with several other Europas and some E type Jaguars was bought as part of an estate sale, by Chuck Hadley of Monocoque Metalworks. He sold all apart from this one  as he intended to restore as a father and son project but later changed is mind to do an E type instead. The car was running in 1983 but has been stored until I purchased in March 2023 as the original engine was with the car but dismantled. I had intended to part the car but it  was much better than I expected so it has been basically recommissioned. I also no longer have to rebuild the engine as I have bought one fully rebuilt.
The original Twin cam engine dismantled comes with the car. Currently it has a Ford Crossflow 1600 and original transaxle 4 speed gearbox. all now working. Fuel tanks had pinholes so were cut open ,shortened by about 1 inch and new bottoms welded in place, the interiors were spotless.Tanks pressure tested and fitted.New front callipers and discs, brakes overhauled, new handbrake cable fitted. There is no servo on the brake system.New front wheel bearings, new fuel pump, new coil.
Originally blue the car has been sprayed red, looks ok from 3meters but is of poor quality,Some fibreglass defects around front LHS. Only one fuel tank currently connected, dashboard varnish lifted in places.Indicators need work.Everything works on the car apart from stated above, doors do not sag, electric windows work,Good interior apart from carpets only one or two minor defects on seats.small consul cushion and ashtray missing.
I am selling as is for recommissioning as road testing has been limited. V5c present.I believe the twin cam engine is complete but am sure some smaller items will be required. Check the photos, if you cannot see it it is missing.
I am selling as I have too many projects, at 84 I have been instructed to finish all projects .! No more !
