[One helluva' antique porcelain sign. Rare. This remarkably well preserved early 20th century American antique stenciled, baked porcelain enamel agricultural product advertising, steel metal sign, features still highly reflective, glossy surfaces, with a navy blue enamel background & red-orange font, surrounded by white outline on the upper portion of the sign, as well as pure white font on the lower portion of the sign. There's some slight to moderate enamel loss on the left margin and a spot where the 'W' of 'Wirthmore' appears. Aside from these two instances of damage, the sign is largely clean, with no noticeable, depreciating scuffs or scratches on its shiny porcelain enamel surfaces. Wirthmore Feeds produced feed for poultry, dairy & livestock. There are six pre-drilled holes in the steel plate lined with original brass grommets, where metal fasteners would affix the sign to a wall, fencing or door. The tri-color arrangement is still vivid, saturated & vibrant. Terrific. Very scarce.]
