DINKY 106 THUNDERBIRDS 2 & 4 METALLIC BLUE BODY WHITE PLASTIC BASE RED LEGS

Original model with some signs of restoration.

Very good metallic blue paint, straight wings and tailplane. Cockpit windows appear to be pale blue.

It’s all intact with all 4 fold-down red plastic legs. They work as they should, folding down (they’re held in tension by a spring) when the side buttons are pressed and clicking/stowing back in place when folded up. The red plastic rear nozzles rotate and have their metal rocket thruster inserts. The concealed metal spring clip holds the pod in place and the pod has both metal rollers, its black plastic door/ramp and a hollow yellow plastic Thunderbird 4 inside.

The white plastic base has yellowed over time and there are marks around one of the screws. The engine intakes are painted black. All the stickers are there, although some appear to be reproductions or have faded.

The bubble box it comes with is a reproduction by ‘wotz101’ and suggests it was made in 2006. It’s a good copy - print-wise on semi-glossy card which has been cut, folded and glued. The sides are black with yellow outlines and the top is pale green. The clear plastic ‘bubble’ is a well-made vacuum-formed item that fits the model well, with fold over plastic tabs that tuck into the card base like the original factory version.
