Antique Georgian embroidery of Moses In The Bullrushes. This dates to the late 1700's to the early 1800's. The Pharaoh's daughter in the middle has a pearl necklace. Besides the silk embroidery there is stump work and chenille work. The needlework is beautifully done. The faces are well painted. The embroidery has the original frame and verre eglomise surround. With the frame it measures 23 1/2" x 20 1/2". The embroidery itself is 17" x 14 1/2". There are three tiny splits to the silk. Two are in the sky over the crouching lady on the left. One tiny split above the pyramid, and one on the top middle edge of sky. They are very hard to photograph. But they are very tiny. Overall the embroidery is in excellent condition. Thanks for viewing.
