 For your consideration is a signed FRANKART Leaping Gazelle Tray with Malachite Slag Glass Lidded Box, circa 1930-40’s.

 A nice Art Deco piece, which is a leaping gazelle with a tray slot underneath with a nice period malachite slag glass, lidded box. The box fits nicely in the tray and is decorated with a buddha or monk type figure on the top.  Although the box is probably not original, it is an interesting piece in itself. It is made in Czechoslovakia out of malachite glass and originally contained a facial cream retailed by the Won Sue Fun Company from 1929 up until the early 1930s.

 

The metal base is signed “FRANKART INC, PAT APPLD FOR”- see pic. 

 

Measures approx. 6½” tall by 6½” at widest.

It is in excellent condition with expected age-related wear, free of any breaks or repairs.
