Utterly fabulous USA designer jacket by "Johnny Was" L.A. the "Alison" Smoking Jacket in sumptuous silky velvet with different patterns running through the silky-feel velvet. This is a USA size XL which would fit various sizes both regular & plus: please see my measurements. Purchased BN from the USA the RRP is $310.00 from this highly regarded fashion designer.
The USA XL translates to a UK plus size 20-22: but the jacket would fit smaller, regular sizes & would fit 20-22-24 & larger + sizes.
The jacket has a shawl collar & falls open to hip level. The sleeves are long with a deep 4" cuff that is stitched in place to look folded over: the sleeves are long & loose enough to be rolled or pushed up the arm. There is a very long tie-belt with belt loops @ both sides to fasten or leave open. The jacket falls naturally & the whole garment both feels lovely & is very flattering to wear. Un-lined: although this is not a heavyweight garment it does have a nice heft to the feel. The velvet which has a lovely sheen is top quality & it is striped with various designs comprising the different stripes: please see my photographs. Being velvet there is a small amount of stretch.
Measures: @ back, un-stretched, armpit to armpit = 25"// Length @ centre back, excluding the collar = 30" // Tie belt = 92" long, approx. The shawl collar is approx. 4" deep. UK GBP price is £243.70 new.
