1874 Canada Newfoundland 50 Cents Half Dollar PCGS F Detail - Low Mintage KM6

Early 1874 Victoria Newfoundland Canada Half Dollar or 50 Cents has been freshly graded by PCGS F (Fine) Details - Cleaned.

PCGS has graded a total of 80 coins for this date and denomination. None are graded finer than AU58, and of those 80 coins, only 6 are AU50 or finer. Tough coin!

Like most of the coins in this series, this coin is vastly under rated. Most of the sales records and data are from 3-15 years ago.

This date has a very low original mintage of just 80,000 coins. Seldom offered, and exceedingly under-valued, these rarely offered Newfoundland Half Dollars have nothing but upside as far as appreciation goes.

To be honest, almost all of the Newfoundland Half Dollars from this era could (or should?) be labeled as cleaned. The "problem-free" ones I have seen all show some evidence of cleaning (hair lines or otherwise) so it would seem it is just a matter of how harsh the cleaning is.

The coin in the photos is the exact coin you will receive.
