CGConn is one of America's leading trombone manufacturers.
This model was built in the small brass instrument making town of Elkhart in Indiana, USA. The instruments from this Conn era are in high demand due to their superior sound and manufacturing quality.
The 88h is one of the most popular classical music instruments worldwide and is often seen in symphony orchestras.
The trombone was built in 1970 and was recently overhauled by us.
What this professional Conn 88h tenor trombone :
- Very direct playing feel, a wonderfully nuanced instrument with a beautiful sound.
- The slide is running well. No loss of chrome.
- This instrument has a cylindrical slide (single bore). The bore is .547″ (13.89mm), the bell is 8.5″ (216mm).
- The single-valve tenor trombone is tuned Bb/F

- Includes the original “Conn Care” guide from 1970 for maintaining the instrument.

- The tuning slides are freely movable.
- The fourth valve slide is a little closer to the tuning slide than usual. Of course, this has no effect on the sound or performance.

– This is me, Felix Eilers, a professional trombonist. I studied in Hanover, Rotterdam, Groningen and New York City and have a master's degree in jazz trombone.
I have no way of getting to Ratzeburg. Can I still play the instruments?

– As a rule, all instruments are overhauled and/or serviced in the workshop. I only sell instruments that are in such good condition that I would use them professionally myself. If an instrument is not directly playable, I will write this clearly in the item description.
