Amstrad LQ 5000 di Wide Carriage 24 Pin Dot Matrix Printer Powers On

Have powered on and it powers up fine. Tried to print a test page by powering up with LF pressed down and although it went through the motions, nothing was printed - probably due to lack of ink. A few sticky tape marks on the unit (see photos).
