Offered here is this truly amazing piece of Americana. It is a side or end table with what may be an original Grandma Moses woven textile under glass. The woven textile picture, which measures approximately 18 x 13-1/2 inches, displays a winter scene with figures and buildings in a rural country setting. The table stands about 18-1/4 inches tall. Aside a number beneath, we do not see any signature or other markings to determine who the actual maker was.

The table was hand crafted and the maker made use of a Birds Eye Maple veneered picture frame for the top that measures 19 x 16-1/4 inches. The top was set on 4 tapered legs that appear to be Poplar wood and were secured with what appear to be parts of a small table draw. The legs are decorated with small spots of brown to compliment the Bird's Eye finish of the frame. We believe this item was created in the late 1880s.

CONDITION:  The top has a small area area of loss of the veneer. There may be a small area of discoloration to the woven fabric in the top right corner, but it is too faint to determine. There are other very small nicks, scratches and abrasions overall, but the table is very sturdy and exceptionally well built to have withstood the test of time.
