This Alabastro Sommerso piece is a great and unusual example of Kent Forrester Ipsen's early glass work.
The mouth of the vase shows Ipsen’s trademark-ish decoration while the body of the vase is clear toned in the color suggestive of a Coke Bottle.
The interior is mottled with swirls that resemble alabastro glass swirled on a reddish brown background.
The pierced holes are large and they invite you to use them to carry it.
Take the invitation up and try viewing through types of light sources to truly enjoy the vase as the artist hoped viewers would do.

This piece is signed and dated and measures approximately 5 1/4" wide x 1 1/2" x 6 3/4" tall.  It is heavy as it weighs over 3 lbs.

We believe it’s a rare beauty.
