This 1897 Festival Mountain & Plain Colorado Brass Super Rare Dragon So-Called Dollar is a great addition to any collection. The medal is uncirculated and made of brass, with a unique design featuring a dragon on one side and a mountain and plain on the other; the Colorado state seal.

John Raymond of “So Called Dollars” states, “There is also a companion piece showing the same Colorado arms obverse die combined with a blank reverse with Schwaab signature. Sometimes found with yellow and white "Souvenir" hanger. Very Rare, Brass or aluminum, 38mm, have only seen holed.“

I am proud to say that “both” pieces explained above are currently being offered by us. Please check our store for the other variety. — A rare opportunity to literally own exceedingly rare Colorado history in the palm of your hands!

A mere 2-3 examples are known to exist. R9. 38mm in diameter; struck in brass.

NOTE: We recently acquired a small lot of ~50 “extremely” rare, historic Colorado tokens, medals, and so-called dollars from an estate sale. We were given the honor and opportunity to cosign this beautiful collection and hope to do the seller justice in sales for such unique items, as well as the photos/listings we have provided. Colorado numismatic items of this rarity and magnitude are seldom offered in auction and many surface ~once a decade or more. — Be on the lookout in our eBay store for more items from this collection as we continue to post them throughout the weekend. — Own a piece of Colorado numismatic history by bidding today! — Thank you and good luck!
