Up for auction is this brand new Series 70 Taipan 2.5cc TBR Diesel. It is in excellent unused mechanical and cosmetic condition. Compression is excellent and it turns over smoothly. It  presents as a new motor should even if over 50 years  old.  Unfortunately the original box has not fared so well. Similarly the instructions have some factory oil staining. 

The trumpet intake Venturi, enlarged exhaust ring and 8 fin plain machined Cylinder head identify this as the intermediate variant of this powerful  Taipan 2.5cc Twin Ball Race Diesel. 

Hard to find NIB 50+ years down the track, would make a handsome addition to any collection.

Obviously this is a Series 66 Taipan not a Glo Chief MK II!! Unfortunately I missed the mistake in the description, however the motor is otherwise as described and shown in the images.
