Vintage reproduction of 19th century French artist Honore Daumier's satirical sculpture "The Scoffer".

This tabletop statuette is made of bonded bronze (bronze powder mixed with resin), finished in a bronze patina and mounted to a black solid wood plinth. The back of the sculpture is inscribed by the artist "Daumier". Daumier was famous for his satirical caricatures of French political figures, both in paintings and sculptures.

Statuette stands just over 10" tall on a 3" square base, and weighs almost 2.5 lbs.
